Réparer un robinet Delta qui fuit
Les robinets de salle de bain et de cuisine Delta avec deux poignées sont souvent des robinets à tige qui comprennent un siège et un ressort sous chaque poignée. Ceci est différent d'un robinet à cartouche, qui a une cartouche semblable à une tige, mais n'a pas de sièges et de ressorts. Le siège et le ressort se trouve en dessous de chaque tige, à l'intérieur du corps du robinet. La tige est maintenue dans le corps avec un écrou de chapeau, et la poignée s'adapte sur la tige.
Les fuites dans ce type de robinet peuvent généralement être fixées avec un nouveau siège en caoutchouc et un ressort. Cependant, vous devrez peut-être remplacer la tige si la poignée est rigide lorsque vous ouvrez le robinet, s'il y a une fuite autour de la poignée lorsque le robinet est en marche ou si le remplacement du siège et du ressort n'arrête pas la fuite.

- Pince à languette et rainure ou clé à molette
- Tournevis ou clé Allen
- Nouveau siège et ressort en caoutchouc (un ensemble pour chaque poignée)
- Graisse de plombier
- Tige de rechange (au besoin)

Déterminer quel côté fuit
Placez votre main sous le goutte à goutte du robinet. Si l'eau est chaude, la fuite est probablement sur le côté chaud du robinet. Si l'eau est froide, la fuite est probablement du côté froid. Cela vous indique quel est le meilleur côté à corriger en premier, mais il est possible que les deux côtés fuient dans tous les cas.

Fermez l'eau
Regardez sous l'évier pour localiser la vanne d'arrêt sur le côté du robinet sur lequel vous allez travailler (chaud ou froid). La valve peut avoir une petite poignée en forme de ballon ou un levier ou un bouton. Tournez la poignée dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'arrête. Ouvrez le robinet d'eau chaude ou froide, selon le cas, pour vous assurer que l'eau est éteinte.
S'il n'y a pas de soupape d'arrêt sous l'évier, fermez l'arrivée d' eau à toute la maison à la soupape d'arrêt principale de la maison, puis ouvrez les deux côtés du robinet pour réduire la pression dans les conduites d'alimentation.

Retirez la poignée du robinet
Desserrer la poignée du robinet, en utilisant soit un tournevis pour enlever la vis sur le dessus de la poignée ou une clé Allen pour enlever une vis sur le côté de la poignée. Soulevez la poignée vers le haut pour l'enlever de la tige du robinet.
Remarque: Vous devrez peut-être retirer un capuchon décoratif du haut de la poignée pour accéder à la vis de la poignée.

Retirez l'écrou du chapeau
Desserrez l'écrou du chapeau fixant la tige du robinet, en utilisant une pince à rainure et languette ou une clé à molette, en tournant l'écrou dans le sens antihoraire. Dévissez complètement l'écrou et retirez-le de la tige.

Retirez la tige
Notez la position de la tige avant de l'enlever. Vous devez remplacer la tige exactement dans la même position pour que le robinet fonctionne correctement. Les tiges ont généralement une ou plusieurs pattes qui s'insèrent dans les encoches du corps de la tige pour vous aider à aligner la tige, mais vous pouvez toujours ramener la tige vers l'arrière. Si vous le souhaitez, prenez une photo de la tige pour référence.
Retirez la tige en la tirant vers le haut et hors de son logement. Utilisez une pince, si nécessaire, en saisissant seulement la broche en haut de la tige.

Retirez le siège et le ressort
Regardez à l'intérieur du boîtier de la tige et repérez le siège dans un trou au bas du boîtier. Le siège est un petit bouchon en caoutchouc noir avec un trou dans le haut. Assis à l'intérieur et en dessous du siège est un petit ressort métallique. Retirez le siège et le ressort en insérant un petit tournevis ou une clé Allen dans le trou du siège et en tirant les deux parties ensemble.
Notez l'orientation du ressort à l'intérieur du siège. Le ressort devrait être légèrement plus grand en bas qu'en haut, là où il s'emboîte dans le siège. Vous devez installer le nouveau ressort et le nouveau siège avec la même orientation.

Installez un nouveau siège et un ressort
Installez le nouveau siège et le ressort sur l'extrémité d'un tournevis ou d'une clé Allen dans la même position que le siège et le ressort d'origine. Utilisez le tournevis ou la clé pour guider le ressort et le siège dans le trou dans le boîtier de la tige. Ils doivent s'adapter tout le long du trou. Retirez le tournevis ou la clé et vérifiez que le siège est correctement positionné.

Réinstallez la tige
Appliquez une petite quantité de graisse de plombier sur le joint torique à la base de la tige. Si vous le souhaitez, vous pouvez également remplacer le joint torique (qui est parfois inclus avec les kits tige-ressort) ou la tige entière. Insérez la tige dans son logement, en alignant les languettes sur la tige avec les fentes dans le boîtier. Poussez la tige complètement jusqu'à ce qu'elle s'arrête.
Réinstallez l'écrou du chapeau et serrez-le soigneusement avec une pince ou une clé à molette. Ne serrez pas trop l'écrou, car cela pourrait endommager le corps de la tige.

Vérifiez les fuites et réinstallez la poignée
Remettez l'alimentation en eau en ouvrant la vanne d'arrêt (sous l'évier) dans le sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre jusqu'à la butée. Vérifiez s'il y a des fuites autour de la tige du robinet. Si elle fuit, serrer l'écrou du chapeau jusqu'à ce que la fuite s'arrête; encore une fois, faites attention à ne pas trop serrer.
Monter la poignée sur la tige et la fixer avec la vis ou la vis de fixation.
